Take a Day Off and Celebrate Labor Day

  • Spreckels Temple of Music 50 Hagiwara Tea Garden Drive San Francisco, CA, 94118 (map)

Celebrate Labor Day in grand bandstand style with the Golden Gate Park Band!

This feel-good afternoon honors the spirit of American work and community with a toe-tapping mix of favorites. From the down-home sparkle of the Li’l Abner Overture and suspenseful sounds of Catch Me If You Can (featuring Principal Saxophone Wiliam Aaron). We’ll stroll On the Mall, step in time with Sousa’s Stars and Stripes Forever, and share in the pride of This Land Is Your Land. Add a dash of Leroy Anderson’s playful Horse and Buggy, and you’ve got the perfect soundtrack for a sunny holiday in the park.

Bring a blanket, bring a friend, and celebrate the day with music that works as hard as America does!
