Concerts are free of charge and take place at the Spreckels Temple of Music in the Music Concourse in Golden Gate Park.

Regular Sunday concerts start at 1:00 p.m. and usually end between 2:30 and 2:45. There is no intermission. For detailed program information please go to the calendar entry for each concert.

All concerts that feature music of specific nationalities or cultures include costumed guest performers, dancers, singers, and speakers who will enlighten and entertain.

All themes and repertoire are subject to change; all concerts start at 1:00 pm and are on Sundays except the April 18 Big Band, July 4 and Labor Day.

    • May 4 Polish Cultural Celebration – works of Chopin, Ozmanski, and more with the Lowiczanie Polish Folk Ensemble of San Francisco.
    • May 11 A Pops Mom’s Concert – on Mother’s Day in honor of Mothers everywhere. Concertino for flute by Chaminade featuring Derick Yih , works of Sousa, Saint-Saens, McGinty and more
    • May 18 A Cast of Characters: In “Bay to Breakers Salute”La Forza Del Destino by Verdi, The Typewriter , music of the Beatles and more.
    • May 25 – Passionate Armenian Cultural Celebration with works by Kachaturian, Hovaness in partnership with the Hamazkayin Armenian Cultural and Educational Assoc.
    • June 1 Shinning Stars – Celebrating Soloists members from each section of the band.
    • June 8 A Juneteenth program celebrating Black American music including works of Joplin, William Grant Still, Katahj Copley, Ayatey Shabazz, and Ray Charles. 
    • June 15 Golden Gate Park Band Festival with guest ensembles from around the Bay Area and beyond. The Festival starts June 14
    • June 22 “PRIDE: A Musical Celebration” 
    • June 29 – “Songs & Dances including works of Tchaikovsky, Leonard Bernstein, Sir Arthur Sullivan.
    • July 4 American as Apple Pie, Ribs and Tacos: Independence Day Celebration of all things American
    • July 6 Treasures of the Band World including works of Gordon Jacob, Charles Ives, Percy Grainger, Frank Tichelli, and Robert Russell Bennett
    • July 13 Disney Magic with guest Conductor David Adams
    • July 20 Bonnie Scottish Culture Celebration with the Dunsmuir Scottish Dancers. Works to include Four Scottish Dances by Malcom Arnold, Loch Lomond and more
    • July 27 Music for Kids of all ages
    • August 3 Celebrating San Francisco History – A concert in honor of Neighborhood Emergency Response Teams and First Responders .
    • August 1o Around the World in 90 Minutes – Peter and the Wolf with guest narrator Maggie Clennon Reburg, American in Paris by Gershwin, Perpetuum Mobile by Strauss
    • August 17 St Stephen’s DayCelebration of Hungarian Culture– With performers from the Hungarian Heritage Foundation, the band will play favorite Hungarian pieces.
    • August 24 – Our annual program in Solidarity with Ukraine featuring many guest performers from the Bay Area Ukrainian community and beyond.
    • August 31 – No Concert
    • September 1 (Monday) 9 to 5: a Labor Day Celebration
    • September 7 ¡Viva Mexico! with guests Ballet Folklorico Mexicano de Carlos Moreno .
    • September 14 An Irish Celebration in partnership with the United Irish Cultural Center of San Francisco.
    • September 21 “Ole!”  Spanish Cultural Celebration featuring  guest performers from Toque Tercero Flamenco lead by Damien Alvarez.
    • September 28 – Season Finale: A Final Concert of Gratitude
